Action 4 Access is born from the lived experiences of a guide dog owner who has been denied access to businesses and services and given inferior treatmenton many occasions in the UK and further afield. We recognise the need for revised and new legislation to deal with this discrimination coupled with heightened public awareness of the unlawful treatment and its effects. We also recognise that handling an access refusal is daunting and that timely support and advise is needed to assist those affected and help them to take appropriate action that brings proportionate results.
